SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

“Hi, I have been doing Taekwondo since 2005. I’m a mother of two daughters, who later started Taekwondo following my footsteps, which soon became a weekly family activity. I am proud to say we are all now black belts, and continue to develop and enjoy the sport. I achieved my 1st Degree black belt in 2009 and I am now a 4th Degree black belt since 2020.

I am a fully qualified TAGB instructor, with a current DBS and 1st aid certificates including having a Level 3 safeguarding qualification approved by the TAGB and BTC (British Taekwondo Council). I am the senior welfare officer for the club, a qualified umpire and referee plus officiated at many national and international events including The English, Welsh, regionals and World Championships.

Successfully trained both adults and juniors from beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. I also participated and competed in national and international tournaments, providing me with experience on and off the square. These include - BTF Veterans, TI World Championships, BOTB MMA, TAGB regional and national events.

I can say one thing I enjoy about Taekwondo - it is about your goals and achievements. You don't have to compete to achieve success, it is within. It offers you gradual steps to improve and develop from starting as a colour belt until you become a black belt. Then the Dan grades offers you a more personal journey. Each day is a new learning step and extending my experience in the art as I continue to grow. And to resonate this within our club to our members will help the journey continue.

Additional responsibilities include the administration of the club, student licences, tournaments, technical grading’s, work in the community and club social events.

Top achievement:

4th Degree Black Belt

Best of the Best Champion in Pattern Belt - mixed division

Opening the Worcester club in 2017

Awarded student of the year in 2016

I have delivered Only Girls Allowed fitness activities for Worcester Warriors and continue to support Women in Sport initiatives.

Fun fact: I can independently still do a head Stand! Something I have been able to do since I was 8. I can also Irish dance where I competed in my youth at several national competitions.
